Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the On the Menu app (“On the Menu,” “we,” “us”) collects and how we use it. On the Menu helps you save recipes, plan your weekly menu, and build grocery lists.
Information we collect
- Content you create. Recipes, menus, ingredients, and grocery/shopping lists you enter. This is stored on your device and, if you create an account, backed up to our cloud storage so you can restore it.
- Account information. If you create an account, we use your email address to sign you in (via a one-time code). We do not use passwords.
- Anonymous usage analytics. We record content-free events about how the app is used (for example, which screens are viewed and whether an action succeeded) to help us find and fix problems. These events do not include your recipe text, ingredient names, grocery items, email, or other free-text content.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
- This website uses no cookies, analytics, or third-party tracking scripts.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide the app's features (saving recipes, planning menus, building grocery lists), to back up and restore your data when you sign in, and to understand and improve how the app works.
Where your data is stored
Your data lives on your device and, for account users, in our cloud database provider used for storage and authentication.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete content within the app. To request deletion of your account and associated cloud data, email support@onthemenuapp.com and we will process your request.
Children
On the Menu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
